Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members!

President Elect

Alicia Quella PhD PA-C

I am interested in serving in the position of President Elect for the Minnesota PAs. I am a passionate supporter for the PA profession and will advocate for the evolving role of the PA. I am also interested in policies, laws and regulations that impact the roles of PAs both nationally and in the State of Minnesota. I am also an advocate for those at the pre-PA level; encouraging both students who are interested in the profession and those who are current Minnesota PA students. Thank you for your consideration.

HOD Delegate to AAPA

Cindy Goetz MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA

Number of Years as a MAPA Member:

The position of HOD delegate to AAPA is a familiar role for me. Having served in the past as a delegate, I feel that I have many talents and knowledge to bring to this role. My work with MAPA over the years has given me insight into the many struggles facing PA's in Minnesota and the challenges for the state academy. Currently, there are many changes possibly facing PA's in the coming years with the discussion about FPAR and changes to NCCPA re-certification and I am keenly aware of the effect that these changes would bring to the profession. As your delegate, I would be honored to represent the PA's in Minnesota by sharing your views about these important issues to the AAPA House of Delegates.

Becky Ness MPAS, PA-C

Number of Years as a MAPA Member:

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Becky Ness and I've been a practicing PA in MN for the last 16 years. I've been involved with MAPA in various roles over the years including legislative chair, HOD delegate and president. In each of these roles I have grown as a leader and an individual as well as a PA and an advocate for the profession. Through these roles and my experience as a PA in various health systems I have discovered that my true passion is in the legislative and rule making process. There are many issues facing the practice of medicine as well as the PA profession and I would love the opportunity to represent MAPA and the PAs of MN as a MN delegate to the AAPA House of Delegates.

Terry Panvica PA-C

Twin Cities Spine Center
Number of Years as a MAPA Member: 22

To be an effective representative to the House of Delegates, one must possess extensive experience in clinical practice, having served in multiple leadership roles, and being able to effectively communicate and think critically. As a PA with 20 years in clinical practice, senior PA and preceptor in my current practice, prior MAPA President, and current Chief MAPA Delegate to the AAPA House of Delegates, I strongly believe that I possess the highest qualifications to serve MAPA as a Delegate to the AAPA HOD. I sincerely ask that you consider my nomination, as I am committed to serving Minnesota PAs on the state and national level.

Director at Large

Mikal Mikkelson MS, PA-C, ATC

Number of Years as a MAPA Member:

My intention and goal is to become more involved in service and leadership within the MAPA. A Director at Large position will provide me an excellent opportunity to serve my fellow Minnesota PAs through working with and assisting fellow board members and officers, facilitating communication between the Academy membership and the Board, and ultimately by continuing to promote and improve the PA profession in the State of Minnesota.

Skye Peltier MPH, PA-C

University of Minnesota and Childrens' Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota

Number of Years as a MAPA Member: 6

After 12 years as a practicing Physician Assistant (PA) in Minnesota is it time for me to become more involved in my state professional society. I have seen the PA profession blossom in Minnesota with the opening of new programs and the greater knowledge and acceptance of PAs in clinical practice. Since graduating from the Augsburg PA program, I have worked in hematology as a specialty and spent the majority of that time at the University of Minnesota and Childrens' Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. I will to bring to the Board a passion for the PA profession and training along with energy to promote the growth and respect of PAs in Minnesota.
