Fellow: $175 annual dues

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited PA program, or an NCCPA-certified PA.
  • Must be a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants in good standing.
  • Will be required to provide AAPA Id Number and NCCPA Id Number.

Sustaining: $175 annual dues

  • Member would be eligible for fellow membership but is not a fellow member of the AAPA.
  • Will be required to provide NCCPA Id Number.

New Graduate: $87.50 for first PA program graduated year

  • A New Graduate of an accredited PA program, or an NCCPA-certified PA, is eligible for a 50% discount on a Fellow or Sustaining membership during the first year after graduation (to take the Fellow membership, the new grad must also be a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants in good standing).

Retired PA: $50 annual dues

  • A retired member must have been a member in good standing of the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants for a minimum of five years (not necessarily in succession and not necessarily the last five years).
  • A retired member must be fully retired from gainful employment as a PA.

PA Student: $50 for the duration of PA program enrollment

  • One-time fee for as long as you are enrolled in an accredited PA program.
  • A student is enrolled in an accredited PA program or an unaccredited program that is recognized by the AAPA. 
  • Student Representatives are elected by their classmates and enjoy all rights and privileges, including formal vote, except in matters relating to AAPA.

Pre-PA Student: $50 annual dues

  • A Pre-PA Student is a person interested in the Physician Assistant profession and not yet enrolled in an accredited PA-S Program.
  • Dues for MAPA Pre-PA student membership is valid for one year you are enrolled an undergrad program.
  • Pre-PA Student Member benefits include Pre-PA resources and mentor directory search. This mentor directory gives Pre-PA students the names of PA students and practicing PAs that have indicated they are will to be a mentor to a Pre-PA student.

Affiliate: $125 annual dues

  • Member who is ineligible for the Fellow or Sustaining categories and still wishes to associate with the organization and is approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Affiliate membership is not open to vendors who sell products or services.
  • Affiliate members shall be entitled to the privilege of the floor but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.
